Shop Steward Training

The IATSE Local 891 shop steward training familiarizes attendees with the Master Agreement, basic labour law, and health and safety regulations. It also provides tools to use in dealing with difficult people and situations. This is a great course for members who are interested in becoming a production shop steward, or for current or past shop stewards who would like a refresher.

Canadian Labour Congress Pacific Winter School

Each year IATSE Local 891 offers members the opportunity to attend the a week of the acclaimed and inspiring Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) Winter School held in Harrison Hot Springs in January and February. The School provides an opportunity for union members to come together to gain new skills and build relationships and solidarity. IATSE 891 will send 10 members to the Winter School this year.
